St. Petersburg Plastic Surgeon, Peter L. Sarkos, M.D.
began his pursuit of medicine during his undergraduate years at The Ohio State University, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and a Bachelor of Arts degree in History. He then attended medical school at The St. Louis University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri. From there Dr. Sarkos completed a five year General Surgery residency at The Medical University of Ohio in Toledo, Ohio. He then completed an additional two year Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery residency at The University of Texas in Houston.
Dr. Sarkos is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Surgery. He holds medical licenses in the states of Florida and Ohio. Dr. Sarkos currently is an active staff member at the following hospitals in St. Petersburg, Florida:
- Palms of Pasadena Hospital
- Bayfront Medical Center
- St. Anthony’s Hospital
- St. Petersburg General Hospital
This past year, Dr. Sarkos has attended three major Plastic Surgery conferences:
- The American Society of Plastic Surgeons Symposium
- Facial Reconstruction in Adults and Children Symposium
- Wound Care Concepts and Practice
Additionally, Dr. Sarkos is active in public speaking locally on various topics in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
